The first day you will visit the fabulous Inca citadel of Pisac and explore it from corner to corner. Then you will go to Urquillos, a beautiful town in the sacred valley of the Incas, to see guinea pigs in local houses and learn and harvest about the products that are grown in the valley and learn to prepare Chicha, the most traditional beer in the Peruvian Andes. Called sacred, for being the main food supplier of the Inca Empire, the Sacred Valley sits on the banks of the Urubamba River. This river in its beginnings has the name of Vilcanota, which comes from the Quechua word Wilcamayu or Sacred River. The Incas built archaeological centers along its banks, which replicate the constellations they knew from the Andean sky, so this contributes even more to the beauty of this amazing valley.
