The Manu Reserved Zone Tour is a part of the Manu National Park in Peru, which is considered one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet. This area is located in the Amazon region, specifically in the provinces of Paucartambo and Manu, in the department of Cusco, and in the province of Tahuamanu, in the department of Madre de Dios. The reserved zone is one of the most protected areas in the Amazon basin.
The main objective of the Manu Reserved Zone is to preserve the unique biodiversity of the region and protect isolated indigenous populations, who have chosen to live autonomously, without contact with modern society. It also acts as a refuge for numerous species of flora and fauna, some of which are endangered.
This area is restricted for human activities and only very limited access is allowed to researchers, conservationists and a few authorized groups, in order to maintain its ecosystem intact. The natural resources of this area include various species of birds, mammals, reptiles and plants, which make Manu a place of interest for scientific research and environmental conservation.
Access to the Manu Reserved Zone is regulated and a special permit is required to visit it, and is generally done through specialized guides who ensure the protection of the area and its biodiversity.
