The spectacular Ancascocha hike to Machu Picchu, goes throughout pretty spots in the Peruvian Andes. It is a trail far less hiked than other hiking circuits. Without doubts, it is one of the few off the beaten tracks in the Cusco region. This awesome hike, was named by National Geographic as one of 20 dream hikes on their World Best Hikes list. this stunning trek takes you throughout an imposing 70 meters waterfall, ancient andean hamlets, wonderful Incan sites, incredible snow-capped mountains and lush valley views. And of course this hike closes with a flourish, with the visit to the citadel of Machu Picchu. The first day you will visit the amazing waterfall of Perolniyoc and you will be surprised by beautiful views of the snowy Veronica. During the 2nd day, you will visit the Ancascocha lagoon, explore the Inca ruin of Incaracay and hike on an original stone Inca path. On the 3rd day, you will enter the trail that is traveled by the hikers of the classic 4-day Inca trail and in the afternoon you will board the train to Aguas Calientes. Finally, on the fourth day you will visit Machu Picchu, you will have a 3-hour guided tour in the Inca citadel and you will return by train to Cusco.
